What an Accession of Power to the British Empire by Sea as well as Land! What Increase of Trade and Navigation! What Numbers of Ships and Seamen!
Why should Pennsylvania, founded by the English, become a Colony of Alienswho will shortly be so numerous as to Germanize us instead of our Anglifying them, and will never adopt our Language or Customs, ben franklin essay, any more than they can acquire our Complexion.
